A person's ethics are known through
spending a long time with that person
and through not being inattentive.
A person's fortitude is known
through the way that person handles adversity
A person's wisdom is known over a long time
through discussing with that person matters of importance

Somehow I feel that to know these things about a person, one need not necessarily spend a lot of time with him/her. However, attentiveness is of paramount importance.

Having said that, let me also add that often times, we take first impressions to be true studies and that can really turn out to be counterproductive.

And then there are those enigmas whom one cannot understand even after a lifetime of observation.

All in all, the issue is pretty subjective and dependant on the parties involved.

Ciao :-)

Im not talking about first impressions out here :)

Neither am i referring to enigmas.

Simply simplifying.

I do agree ts subjective. Im not attempting to be correct out here.

Expressing myself- the way I see it :)

or you could have a stranger (preferably someone who reads a lot of fiction ) ask said person to chose between a red and a blue pill in very mysterious circumstances :)..tells us all there is to know

...and yet, the beauty of life is that most of us are greater than the sum of our parts, and hence, just a shade more than our ethics, fortitude and wisdom alongwith many more traits put together. Which is perhaps why we never really know anybody!!
